We're coming to the end of a very busy Year in which we made Communication Technology even bigger. Thank you to all our Customers of 2009, we hope to hear from you even more in 2010.
NEW COMMERCIAL DIRECTOR
Mike Ziolek has joined us as Group Commercial Director, taking over from Tom Diamond who left in August with all our best wishes to start his own business in the I.T. sector. Tom was responsible for the development of a very successful new product, founded on his I.T. skills, for the Airside part of our business.
Mike joined us around 3 months ago form the Paper Industry where he was responsible for developing a business from £1million to £10million in a relatively short space of time. He is guiding the growth of the SCARECROW GROUP.
THE FIRST TWO NEW PRODUCTS FOR 2010
1. SILENT WITNESS
Using a ceiling mounted plastics enclosure which looks just like a FIRE/SMOKE detector, SILENT WITNESS is for applications where discrete monitoring and/or recording of conversations and events is required. SILENT WITNESS incorporates three radially mounted electret omnidirectional microphones and a line level (775mV) output preamplifier. A 4 pole connector makes installation simple, just a balanced, floating, audio pair and 24v dc pair.

2. BUD100 E/SP - A SOLAR POWERED ELECTRET DESK PAGING MICROPHONE
An Industry first - and very 'green'! The desk microphone top incorporates a solar panel charged internal cell, the solar panel activated either by natural or artificial light. The result of this technology is that all the advantages of electret microphones - not affected by induction loop hearing systems or magnetic interference - are achieved yet still with just two wires to connect to the host amplifier microphone input - and no external powering!

IMPROVED VM100 HAND HELD MICROPHONE
This perfectly balanced hand held microphone was introduced into our range 3 years ago and is now used in broadcasting, entertainment and for public speaking. For 2010 we have made it even better - and given it a non reflective black finish.

We have been able, through increased production volumes during 2009, to limit price increases for 2010.
