Multiple Input Mainframe
MIM 020

The multiple input Mainframe MIM 020 is designed for use with up to 20 inputs and is intended for applications in conference and meeting room environments. Other applications will include medical practices where each doctor will need to call 'next patient' using the system on a first-come, first-served basis.

Modular Format

Inputs are presented in units of 5 on each MPA 050; one input can be given priority over all others within the Mainframe. This facility will allow conference chairmen to override delegates or, in a building in the event of an emergency, for a safety officer to take overall control.

Each input has the benefit of automatic proximity bass cut and sound level limiting, so that all announcements will be more clearly reproduced.

The Mainframe logic and input combiner electronics include:

Pre-announcement 'gong'; switch selectable, this enables paging microphones within a system to prelude announcements with a simple, but attention getting, gong sound.
Provision for plug-in automatic background noise level reduction, digital sound processing (D.S.P.) technology: when incorporated, noise reductions of up to 30dB can be achieved.
